A new technological revolution has begun for Indian farmers. Sonalika Tractors has unveiled the country’s first dual-fuel CNG/CBG tractor at AgroVision 2025 in Nagpur. This tractor is designed to operate without diesel, offering farmers a combination of cost-efficiency, clean energy, and high-performance capabilities for demanding agricultural tasks.
The launch ceremony was attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, signaling a strong push for biofuel-based agricultural technologies in rural India.
The tractor aligns with the central government’s SATAT mission and Govardhan scheme, promoting the use of CNG/CBG fuel in villages and advancing sustainable agriculture.
Indian agriculture demands high power, low fuel consumption, and long-haul transport capacity. Sonalika’s new dual-fuel tractor meets all these requirements, making it suitable for both fieldwork and transport tasks.
This tractor is not only powerful but also extremely cost-effective, making it ideal for modern Indian farming.
Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director of International Tractors Ltd., stated that this tractor is a major step toward smart, future-ready farming. According to him, India’s next agricultural revolution will focus on clean fuel, low cost, and higher power.
Sonalika’s new CNG/CBG dual-fuel tractor is a forward-looking option for farmers, designed to reduce costs, enhance productivity, and promote environmentally friendly farming. It represents a major step in making Indian agriculture cleaner, smarter, and more profitable.
