Chaitra Navratri Calendar 2025: Navratri holds great significance in Hinduism. Among the four Navratris observed in a year, Chaitra Navratri begins from the Pratipada Tithi of the Shukla Paksha in the Chaitra month. During this sacred period, the nine forms of Maa Durga are worshipped with devotion.

On the first day of Navratri, Kalash Sthapana (Ghatasthapana) is performed, an eternal flame (Akhand Jyot) is lit, and Kanya Pujan is carried out. The festival concludes with the grand celebration of Ram Navami on the final day. Significance of Navratri and Rituals

During Chaitra Navratri, devotees observe fasts, engage in bhajans and kirtans, and recite Ramcharitmanas and Durga Saptashati to seek the blessings of Maa Durga. Lighting an Akhand Deep (eternal lamp), performing Ghatasthapana, and Kanya Pujan are considered highly auspicious and rewarding.

For Ghatasthapana, a clay pot is filled with water and adorned with mango leaves and a coconut placed on top. A Swastik symbol is drawn on the pot, and worship is offered to seek happiness and prosperity from Maa Durga.

Ram Navami and Conclusion of Navratri

After nine days of worship, Ram Navami will be celebrated on 7 April 2025, marking the birth of Lord Rama with great joy and devotion. On this day, Kanya Pujan, Havan, Ram Katha, and Ram Janmotsav are organized at various places to conclude the Navratri celebrations.
