The Central and State Governments have initiated preparations for wheat procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for the 2025–26 Rabi Marketing Season. This is great news for farmers in Madhya Pradesh as the registration process for wheat procurement begins on January 20, 2025. This year, the state has set up 4,000 procurement centers, 200 more than the previous year, to enhance convenience and ensure farmers receive fair prices for their produce.

Key Dates and Documents

  • Registration Date: January 20, 2025, onwards.
  • Required Documents:
    • Aadhaar Card
    • Bank Account Number (linked to Aadhaar)
    • Mobile Number
    • Land Ownership Documents
  • Registration Process: Farmers can register online and will be eligible to sell their wheat at MSP after successful registration.

Government-Declared MSP

For the 2025 season, the Central Government has set the MSP for wheat at ₹2,425 per quintal, marking an increase of ₹150 compared to the previous year.

Procurement Centers and Payment Process

  • Procurement Centers: Madhya Pradesh will operate 4,000 centers for wheat procurement.
  • Payment Method: Farmers will receive payments directly into their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. Ensure your DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) account is active and Aadhaar-linked during registration.

  • Timely payments to farmers will be prioritized.

The Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PM-GKAY) provides free wheat and rice to underprivileged families, supporting increased procurement and storage efforts.
