Good news for farmers in Bihar! To boost the income of spice growers, the Bihar government has launched the “Beej Masale Ki Yojana 2025-26”. Under this scheme, farmers cultivating coriander, fenugreek, mangrail, fennel, and ajwain will receive financial assistance of ₹20,000 per hectare.
The initiative aims to increase spice crop production while providing farmers with high-quality seeds. The subsidy will be directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts, reducing cultivation costs and increasing profits.
Objective of the Beej Masale Ki Yojana
The scheme encourages farmers in Bihar to adopt spice cultivation and improve production:
Estimated cost of spice cultivation is approximately ₹50,000 per hectare.
60% of the cost will be covered by the government as financial support.
Farmers will receive direct assistance to purchase certified seeds, ensuring better yields.
Subsidy Amount and Installments
Farmers cultivating eligible spice crops will get ₹20,000 per hectare.
The subsidy will be disbursed in two installments:
First installment: ₹12,000 per hectare
Second installment: ₹8,000 per hectare
Farmers will also receive certified, high-quality seeds from the Bihar State Seed Corporation.

The scheme covers the following five spice crops:
Coriander (Dhaniya)
Fenugreek (Methi)
Mangrail
Fennel (Saunf)
Ajwain
Who Can Benefit
Only farmers residing in Bihar are eligible.
Cultivation should be on land between 0.1 hectare and 4 hectares.
Subsidy will be provided on a “first-come, first-served” basis.

Required documents include Aadhaar card, bank account details, passport-size photo, and land ownership papers.
