In Madhya Pradesh, under the Ladli Behna Yojana, the state government transfers ₹1250 directly to the bank accounts of eligible women every month. Currently, around 1.27 crore women are benefiting from this scheme. A significant change has been made in the payment schedule, which affects the date when the installment is credited to women’s accounts.
Until now, the beneficiaries received the Ladli Behna Yojana installment by the 10th of every month, but from April 2025, this schedule has been changed. According to the government’s latest announcement, the 23rd installment for April will be transferred on 16th April directly into the women’s bank accounts.
According to government officials, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will personally transfer the funds on 16th April at a mass marriage ceremony in Tikrawara village of Mandla district. This will be the official launch of the 23rd installment, which will be transferred to all eligible women across the state.
This will be the first time that the Ladli Behna Yojana installment will be transferred after the 10th of the month. Going forward, the government has decided to shift the payment date by 2 to 3 days, so the money will likely be transferred around the 12th or 13th of each month instead of the 10th.

To avoid this, the finance department suggested shifting the installment date, and the Chief Minister’s Office approved this chan
No Fixed Date – CM Will Decide the Transfer Date:
The Minister of Women and Child Development, Nirmala Bhuria, clarified that no fixed date has been set for the transfer of the Ladli Behna Yojana installment. Instead, the Chief Minister will decide the exact date based on his discretion.
This updated system is expected to streamline the distribution process while addressing financial liquidity issues, ensuring that the Ladli Behna Yojana continues to provide timely support to women beneficiaries.
