Farmers across the country have reason to celebrate. The 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme is expected to be credited to beneficiaries’ accounts just before Diwali. This comes as a relief for farmers who have been waiting for the installment.
According to sources, the central government is preparing to transfer the funds to eligible farmers’ bank accounts soon. If all goes as planned, this amount will serve as a timely financial boost for farmers ahead of the festive season.
The PM-Kisan scheme was launched to increase the income of small and marginal farmers. Under this program, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of ₹6,000 per year, distributed in three installments of ₹2,000 each. Farmers are now eagerly awaiting the 21st installment.
This time, the government has already credited the installment to farmers in states affected by natural calamities, including Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Uttarakhand. Officials stated that these states were given priority to provide immediate financial relief following recent disasters. Farmers in other states can also expect the installment soon.
Historical trends indicate that the government typically releases PM-Kisan installments between August and November. This year, it is expected that the installment will reach farmers before Diwali on October 21, 2025, providing a significant financial boost for festival preparations. Agricultural experts note that the funds will not only help with Diwali expenses but also provide additional capital for the upcoming Rabi sowing season.
The government has urged all beneficiary farmers to check and update their PM-Kisan accounts and bank details. Incomplete or incorrect information often leads to delays in receiving funds. Farmers are advised to verify that their Aadhaar and bank account details are accurate and up-to-date.
To avail benefits under the PM-Kisan scheme, completing the e-KYC process is essential. The government has simplified this procedure for farmers, allowing them to complete it online via the official website or mobile app.
Steps to Complete e-KYC:
By following these steps, farmers can complete their e-KYC from home and become eligible to receive the installment.
