New Delhi: There’s growing excitement among farmers across India over the upcoming 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Scheme.
While some states have already received the payment, others are still waiting. The 20th installment was released on August 2, 2025, and reports suggest that the 21st installment may be credited in November.
The central government has not yet announced an official date.
However, sources in the Ministry of Agriculture indicate that the next installment could be released after the Bihar Assembly election results, which are scheduled for November 14, 2025.
This means the payment is likely to be credited to farmers’ bank accounts by the third or fourth week of November.
On September 26, 2025, the central government released the 21st installment to farmers in Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh.
These states were prioritized due to the heavy rainfall, floods, and landslides that damaged crops earlier this year.
The government decided to provide early financial relief to affected farmers in these regions.
Farmers from states such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra will need to wait a bit longer.
The government is expected to transfer ₹2,000 per farmer to the bank accounts of around 9 crore beneficiaries across the country after the elections.
To ensure smooth payment under the PM-Kisan Scheme, farmers must complete the following steps:
If any of these steps remain incomplete, the upcoming installment may be delayed or withheld.
The government has not yet declared the exact date for the 21st installment, but officials from the Agriculture Ministry have stated that an update will soon be published on the official PM Kisan portal – https://pmkisan.gov.in.
Farmers are advised to regularly log in to the website and check their payment status.
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana remains one of India’s largest farmer welfare initiatives, providing direct financial support to millions of small and marginal farmers.
All eyes are now on the central government’s official announcement regarding the release date of the 21st installment in November.
Farmers are urged to update their documents in advance to avoid any delay or issues in receiving their next payment.
