In a significant relief for farmers, the Madhya Pradesh government has extended the registration deadline for the procurement of gram (chana), lentil (masoor), and mustard (sarson). Initially set for March 10, 2025, the deadline has now been extended to March 17, 2025. This extension provides farmers with more time to register and sell their crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).

MSP for Gram, Lentil, and Mustard in 2025:

As per the guidelines of the Madhya Pradesh government, the MSP for the Rabi marketing year 2025-26 is as follows:

  • Gram (Chana): ₹5,650 per quintal
  • Lentil (Masoor): ₹6,700 per quintal
  • Mustard (Sarson): ₹5,950 per quintal

How to Register?

Farmers can register for the procurement through multiple platforms:

  1. Online Registration:
    • MP Kisan App
    • MP Online Kiosk
    • Common Service Centers (CSC)
    • Lok Seva Kendra and Cyber Cafés
  2. Cooperative Societies & Marketing Institutions:
    • Farmers can visit these institutions for offline registration.
  3. Mobile Registration:
    • Farmers using Android smartphones can download the MP Kisan App and complete the registration process themselves.

Registration Guidelines for Special Categories:

  • Tenant farmers, Kotwars, Sharecroppers, and Forest Lease Holders can only register at cooperative societies and marketing institution centers.
  • Registration centers will also be available at Gram Panchayats and Tehsil offices for the convenience of farmers.

Payment Process After Procurement:

The Madhya Pradesh government aims to ensure payment within 48 hours of procurement, following the Uttar Pradesh model, where payments are directly transferred to farmers' bank accounts via an online system.
