According to the Amausi Meteorological Center in Lucknow, from February 28, the western region of UP is likely to experience rain and thunderstorms. In eastern UP, some areas may witness heavy rainfall and lightning strikes.
Several districts, including Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bijnor, Amroha, Rampur, and Moradabad, are expected to experience hailstorms today. Additionally, areas like Agra, Bijnor, Amroha, and Moradabad may witness strong winds of 30-40 km per hour.
IMD reports that Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, and Farrukhabad could witness thunderstorms and lightning. Similarly, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Agra, and Firozabad are likely to experience severe weather conditions.
Lightning Warning for 35 Districts:
On March 1, more than 35 districts in UP are at risk of lightning strikes. Special caution is advised in Aligarh, Hathras, Agra, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, and Sambhal, where winds may reach speeds of 30-40 km per hour.
