Good News for Women – Free Gas Cylinder Scheme Benefits
On the occasion of Holi, several states have announced LPG gas subsidies and free cylinder schemes for women. The Delhi government has declared a free gas cylinder initiative, while in Uttar Pradesh, women receive free cylinders twice a year—on Holi and Diwali.
In Maharashtra, the 2024 budget included a provision to provide free gas cylinders to women three times a year. Similarly, the Madhya Pradesh government has transferred ₹55.95 crore into the accounts of 26 lakh women for gas cylinder refilling. So far, ₹825 crore has been distributed, benefiting lakhs of families.
Who is Eligible for the Subsidy?
The gas subsidy is being provided to:
Women enrolled under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana
Beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana
Women from BPL (Below Poverty Line) families

How to Check LPG Subsidy Online?
If your bank account is correctly linked with Aadhaar, your subsidy amount will be transferred without any issues. You can check the status online by following these steps:
Click on the photo of your gas provider (HP, Indane, or Bharat Gas)
Click on "New User" and register yourself
Enter your consumer number and registered mobile number, then click "Continue"
Generate an ID and password, then sign in
After logging in, click on "View Cylinder Booking History"
You will see the complete details of your subsidy on the screen
How to Check LPG Subsidy Offline?
If you are unable to check online, you can verify your subsidy status offline through the following methods:
If your subsidy has been credited, you will receive an SMS notification on your registered mobile number
Visit your bank branch and update your passbook to check for subsidy entries
Use an ATM to print a mini statement and confirm whether the subsidy amount has been credited
Why Has the Subsidy Not Been Credited?
If your subsidy amount has not been received, the following reasons could be responsible:
Your bank account is not linked with Aadhaar
e-KYC is not completed
Your gas connection is not linked with DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer)
Incorrect bank account details have been provided
In such cases, you should immediately contact your bank or gas agency to rectify the issue.
Where to File a Complaint If Subsidy is Not Received?
If all details are correct but you still haven't received the subsidy, you can lodge a complaint through:
Calling the gas company’s customer care at 1800-2333-555
Visiting your nearest gas agency
Submitting an online complaint on the MyLPG website
